Due to internal promotion we are looking for two experienced Business Development professionals to join a highly motivated and energetic team to drive our growth through identifying business opportunities and developing proposals. The roles include the following key areas of focus:
Lead generation, pre-positioning and bidding: Focusing on bid management, proposal development and submission of tenders for a variety of bilateral, multilateral and philanthropic clients. You will support the identification and management of leads and pre-positioning with clients and partners for potential opportunities.
Account management & customer relationship management – Account management is vital for us to better understand client needs, build our pipeline and deliver a diversified portfolio. You will coordinate and manage account management processes for key clients, while also developing a deep understanding of client strategy and helping to match Itad’s offer to client needs.
Providing business development support to Itad practices: Supporting market and client analysis to promote achievement of Practice plan and revenue targets, as well as reviewing/assessing leads and leading bid development relevant to the Practice. You will help to identify preferred external resources and partners for the Practice by supporting relationship building activities.
Organisational support and development of business development systems – The BD team manages and coordinates various systems that allow for pipeline management and reporting, the recording of interactions with potential clients, as well as bid qualification, risk management and bid sign-off. You will contribute to the development and continual improvement of these systems, as well as supporting the production of business development KPIs and other reporting.
You will have a proven track record with within a consultancy or non-profit, with a focus on coordinating the preparation and submission of business tenders. With a solid understanding of the international development landscape, including FCDO, multilaterals, UN agencies and foundations you will have a strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise within a busy workload.
The salary for this role is up to £30K. We also offer a comprehensive learning and development programme, 24 days holiday plus additional time off over Christmas and a matched company pension up to 5%.
The role is based in our offices in Brighton & Hove (East Sussex) and as lockdown eases, we would anticipate this is where you will spend at least 2 days a week working alongside the rest of the team. Successful candidates will already have the right to live and work in the UK.
