Some of the projects you will work on will include:
This is an exciting new role which has been developed to meet the increased need to understand and present data in innovative and creative ways and how we can use it to transform the way we undertake monitoring and evaluation.
The role will draw on combination of technical, analytical and communication skills to help develop proposals, build new partnerships, and deliver Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) services for our clients.
You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams and liaising with specialist technology partners to help them better extract, analyse and interpret data from a range of sources. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities for our digital work and MERL Tech offer by working closely with the Business Development team, as well as building relationships in the sector to help us keep pace with this growing area of work.
A key focus will be identifying and delivering innovative internal projects aimed at developing our in-house capabilities including data analysis, visualisation and dashboards. To support this you will proactively reach out to new and existing digital technology partners and thought leaders in the ICT4D/Merl Tech space to develop relationships and opportunities to collaborate. This will enable you to build and maintain a network of external consultants with expertise relevant to our digital technology service offering with whom we can collaborate on projects.
You will work on projects to provide data science, digital support (or liaising with experts in this field to deliver these requirements). This might include:
A core strength is your exceptional communication and presentation skills which you use to explain technical approaches and concepts to team members and clients who may not understand the mechanics behind data analysis.
We also know that there are great candidates who will not fit everything we have described above, or who have important skills we have not mentioned. If that is you, please do not hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself.
The role is based in our offices in Brighton & Hove (East Sussex), but we are open to you working anywhere in the UK. Travel to the office would be expected for key company and team events. You will already have the right to live and work in the UK and be able to undertake national and international travel when conditions allow.
The salary for this role is up to £50K depending on your skills and experience. We also offer a comprehensive learning and development programme, 24 days holiday plus additional time off over Christmas and a matched company pension up to 5%.
